Many people have heard about the fact that drinking water
while standing may cause health problems. Some people didn’t take this issue
seriously, but others, and I am one of them, have been curious to know the real
negative effects of drinking water while standing. In this article, I am going
to state 3 negative effects of drinking water while standing.
First of all, when drinking water while standing, you are putting
your digestive system at risk. Researches have shown that water goes
down the stomach easily while standing resulting in a splash at the lower wall
of the stomach. This splash may cause damages in the lower wall of the stomach
over repeated practice, and as a result these damages may cause negative
effects in the digestive system.
Secondly, your kidney can be at risk when
drinking water while standing. Scientists said that water could pass through
the kidney without much filtration. This may result in more wastes to be
gathered in the bladder, or even the blood.
Finally, drinking water while standing may result in joints
pain called Arthritis. This pain is another negative effect of drinking
while standing. This is because the water will disturb the balance in the body
fluids, resulting in deficiency in the fluids needed in the joints, causing
Arthritis.
To sum up, drinking water while standing have many negative
effects which is not limited to the three negative effects stated in this
article. There are many researches done on this topic which deserves to be
read.
